LHK Travels to Harrisburg to Discuss LTC Quality Improvement Project

Harrisburg, PA - CEO Char Floravit and RCC/Personal Care Director Missy Swanson visited the state capital in Harrisburg recently to represent The Lutheran Home for their participation in the Long Term Care Quality Improvement Project. Established in 2023, The Pennsylvania Department of Health Long Term Care Transformation Office (LTCTO) began working with the Office of the Secretary of Health to provide guidance and assistance to long term care facilities throughout Pennsylvania with common challenges and implementation of positive change.

The Lutheran Home at Kane was one of 125 recipients across PA to receive grant money through The Long Term Care Quality Improvement Pilot (QIP) Project which was developed by the LTCTO. This project was designed to assist with improving quality of care for through workforce development and retention, infection prevention control, emergency preparedness, and infrastructure enhancement.
